China’s Military Exercises Showcase Modern Fighting Force Preparing for Possible War in the Taiwan Strait

The Wall Street Journal quoted Director Taylor Fravel in an article on China's military exercises in the Taiwan Strait. 

Quoted: "The ability to conduct joint operations around Taiwan has been a driver of China's military strategy and force modernization for more than two decades," [M. Taylor] Fravel. "We should not be surprised by what the PLA is doing how it is doing or what it has accomplished."
