On November 18, 2020, Jonathan Hillman (Senior Fellow for the Center for Strategic & International Studies Economics Program and director of the Reconnecting Asia Project) spoke on “The Emperor's New Road: China and the Project of the Century.”
This week, faculty, students and more gathered virtually just past noon to listen to Jonathan Hillman (Senior Fellow for the Center for Strategic & International Studies Economics Program and director of the Reconnecting Asia Project) discuss “The Emperor's New Road: China and the Project of the Century.” Hillman spoke about China’s Belt and Road Initiative, President Xi Jinping’s flagship foreign-policy effort, and the subject of Hillman’s book by the same name (as the event title). A lively Q&A with the audience followed.
